Queensland Racing Limited (QRL), in consultation with the Queensland breeding industry, has introduced a scheme that provides significant benefits to QTIS registered horses in their two-year-old season.
All QTIS registered yearlings are eligible for the added benefits of QTIS 600 through the one off payment of $3,300 to QRL.
Graduates of the QTIS 600 "All QTIS" yearling sale conducted by Magic Millions in March have the added benefit of being eligible for the lucrative Magic Millions race series included within their $3,300 payment.
QTIS 600 will ensure the Queensland racing and breeding industries have a solid platform to further enhance the overall Queensland Thoroughbred Investment Scheme (QTIS).
$4.93m Race and Bonus Series eligible to all QTIS 600 registered horses.
Standard QTIS bonuses totaling $6.04m, eligible for any QTIS registered horse.
Entry into the $5.15m Magic Millions Race & Bonus Series for all QTIS 600 Sale graduates, who pay the QTIS 600 registration fee.
In total, QTIS 600 yearlings can race for $16.12m in added stakes, bonuses and restricted races. And that means you could share a slice of $16.12m!
QTIS (Queensland Thoroughbred Investment Scheme) is an internationally recognised investment scheme designed to maximise market interest in Queensland bred horses and increase their race track earnings.
Foals are eligible for QTIS with a payment by October 1 (late fees apply until June 30 of the following year). They are then eligible for substantial bonuses when they win or are placed in specified metropolitan, provincial and country races across Queensland primarily as two and three-year-olds. Additional races are programmed throughout the year in country areas for QTIS qualified horses regardless of age.
QTIS is open to:
a) The progeny of all Queensland-based stallions.
b) Interstate bred foals whose dam visits a Queensland stallion in the year they are born.
